Who are we?

Library
Library
  •  We are the parents, staff and friends of English Martyrs Catholic Primary School.
  •  Together we make up the English Martyrs community.
  •  All Parents, Carers and staff are automatically members of the Friends.

How do we support the school?

  •  We support the school by organising and running fundraising events.
  •  We help out at a variety of school events, such as sports days, special events, party days, general help in the school and much more.
  •  We run a school uniform shop, for the benefit of our children.

What has the Friends raised funds for in the past?

  • School library.
  •  School trips.
  •  Special events and class gifts.
  •  Personal gifts, such as Holy Communion and leavers presents.
  •  And much, much more!

How have we done this?

  • Christmas and Summer Fair’s.
  •  Tea Parties and coffee mornings.
  •  And much much more!

How can I get involved?

There are many different ways you can help with the Friends whether you can offer lots of time or not.
You can get involved by:

  • Coming up with and sharing ideas.
  •  Offering your help at events.
  •  Attending meetings.
  •  Becoming a ‘Class rep’.

Recruiting ‘Class Reps’!

  • This year we are looking for a minimum of two ‘Class Reps’ from each class to get involved in the committee of Friends.
  •  There is no maximum number of ‘Reps’ per class. With more reps, time and effort can be shared.
  •  ‘Class Reps’ will have an active role in making the friends successful. It will help you get to know parents/carers and staff across the whole school.

Watch out for the regular newsletters for full details & also on our notice board at
the school gate.
